My dad was like, "Alright."
While my brother exclaimed, "You're IN LOVE with him?!"
My mother later told me, "Just because you love a person it doesn't mean you want to be his wife girlfriend. There are different kinds of love."
My mom was really having a really hilarious day.
And now, a meme. From my new friend, elliemoran!
1. Reply to this post with 'Icons!', and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will - allegedly - create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
This icon is from the manga version of Trigun. Long story short, it's right before the man in the red coat (Vash) goes out to a battle with his brother where he will most likely die. Meryl, the black-haired girl, is in love with Vash, and doesn't want him to go. She hasn't seen him in a long while and she's afraid this will be the last time she'll ever see him. She starts to cry and is unable to speak. Vash promises her he'll come back. (Long story long, really.) I used to roleplay as Meryl (for years) so I have quite a bit of an affinity with her. Vash/Meryl is one of my biggest OTPs and I am SO excited for the Trigun movie, even though it probably won't have any Vash/Meryl loving in it, because Trigun is an action series and the only inklings of romance we see last for like three seconds.
TL;DR version: I like this icon because it reminds me that even in the most distressing of situations there is usually some light. Moving on!
One of my few friends in my freshman year of high school drew this (her name was Carolyn, twin of Allison). We would spend our time in Honors English laughing at things she drew. One day she started drawing full sheets of paper for each of us, on what she thought of us and things we'd said or seen together. I guess she saw me as an optimistic person because she drew this! She also thought that if I were a fruit I'd be a strawberry (I agree) and if I were a color I'd be blue (absolutely). She also taught me how to write and say blue in Japanese!
TL;DR version: I use this icon when I'm feeling especially pumped up, excited, or optimistic! Which, to be honest, is kind of rare. Haha! I love it though. Such good memories. <3
Haha, this one should be a bit shorter! Derived from Harry Potter's "portkey," my "plotkey" icon takes you right to the point. I use it when I'm being blunt, when I think something is obvious or when I've realized something I should have thought of before. It's so useful!
Matsujun! This icon is of Jun Matsumoto, singer in the Japanes boy band Arashi and star of such brilliant Japanese movies/dramas as "Kimi wa Petto" (You're my Pet), "Hana Yori Dango" (Boys over Flowers) and most recently, "Smile", a drama about a half-Filipino, half-Japanese man who is discriminated against in Japan and who just wants to live his life right and be happy (I just slaughtered the plotline, though). Before Matsujun, I had never been attracted to an Asian man. I thought I was racist. He assured me I was just picky. ilu, Matsujun. Have my bbs.
TL;DR version: I use this icon when I am feeling nerdy and bookwormy, or just geeky and silly in general. :)
Ohhh Alice. By far my favorite character in the Twilight saga. When Ed and Bella are being angsty and lulzy, you can always count on Alice for a reality check and some blunt honesty. I think I relate the most to Alice, if only because of the line about Jasper having kept her waiting. I like this icon/picture of Alice particularly because it seems so all-knowing, which of course I enjoy. It reminds me of when Bella says ominously of Alice in the movie, "She must have seen me coming," which is why I titled the keywords as such. I also just love how cute Ashley Greene is. <33
TL;DR version: I use this icon when I'm feeling superior but also lulzy and Alicey, or when I'm loving on Ash, or when I just feel cool as a cucumber.
